Canon iR1643iF – Allow printing of faxes when Toner is Low

The Canon iR1643iF by default will not print received faxes when the amount of toner in the cartridge is low. Usually there is enough toner in the cartridge to last for a while until the new cartridge is delivered.

There is an option in the machine settings that can be turned on that allows printing of received faxes even if the toner in the cartridge is low. To enable it, follow these instructions (from the control panel):

Once this option is enabled, faxes will continue to print, even if the volume of toner in the cartridge is low.

Please Note: If the toner is extremely low, image faults may occur on received faxes and you may have to request the fax to be sent again.
