What do I do if my scan to e-mail isn’t working?

Did you recently change the password on your e-mail account. If so, this may be what has broken the scan to e-mail function. This means you may need to update the password on your copier.

You can update your email password in the Remote User Interface or RUI

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Type in the IP Address of your printer
  3. Enter the default username 1234
  4. Enter the default password 1234
  5. Select “Login as Administrator”
  6. Click “Settings/Registration”
  7. Under Function Settings click Send
  8. Click “Network Settings – Email/I-Fax Settings”
  9. In the middle pane, click Change Password
  10. Enter the new password in both password boxes
  11. Click OK in the top right corner
  12. Once saved, go back to this screen the click Check SMTP Connection and ensure a successful test is sent
