What do I do if my scan to e-mail isn’t working?
Did you recently change the password on your e-mail account. If so, this may be what has broken the scan to e-mail function. This means you may need to update the password on your copier.
You can update your email password in the Remote User Interface or RUI
- Open a web browser
- Type in the IP Address of your printer
- Enter the default username 1234
- Enter the default password 1234
- Select “Login as Administrator”
- Click “Settings/Registration”
- Under Function Settings click Send
- Click “Network Settings – Email/I-Fax Settings”
- In the middle pane, click Change Password
- Enter the new password in both password boxes
- Click OK in the top right corner
- Once saved, go back to this screen the click Check SMTP Connection and ensure a successful test is sent
